Waterway ecosystems around the world are essential habitats for human and animal life, as well as for biodiversity in general. However, these ecosystems are currently experiencing the effects of multiple threats.
Although plastic pollution is one of the most visible problems, others, such as loss of biodiversity, connectivity and flow due to disproportionate extraction; excess nutrients from agricultural and urban areas; sedimentation caused by soil degradation and deforestation; and the effects of climate change, are just as dangerous.
Downstream, all of these elements have a tremendous impact on seas and oceans, seriously affecting the marine ecosystem and the planet's health in general.

The problem is complex; it varies by geographic region and affects many stakeholders. Therefore, the solution requires an ecosystemic, multifaceted, customized and comprehensive approach for every watershed basin.
Cleaning and restoration solutions must provide tangible benefits, resulting in better ecological water indicators for improved biodiversity, human health, flora and fauna, CO2 capture and sustainable employment.
A global meeting point that serves as a catalyst for solutions aimed at cleaning and restoring waterway ecosystems through the connections and partnerships established between actors. We want to play a key role in the United Nations Decade on Ecosystem Restoration (2021-2030).
Our goal is to be a center of knowledge, methodologies, processes and tools for optimizing the positive impact of efforts in the area of prevention, cleaning and restoring waterway ecosystems. We want to connect stakeholders in order to facilitate and accelerate sustainable and scalable solutions for keeping rivers and oceans clean and capable of restoring their biodiversity.
